TUESDAY REVIEWDAY: LimeCrime Velvetines Lip Stain Review

Ever since liquid lipsticks became popular, I knew I had to get my hand on the LimeCrime Velvetines. With their highly opaque lippies plus a matte finish, these babies are definitely to die for.
So, here it is, my review of the current rave of liquid lipsticks.
Note: My LimeCrime Velvetines are from an online shop. They're not U.S. authentic; only SG authentic. Sellers claim that it is safe to use since many bloggers and makeup artists use them as well without having any allergic or violent reactions. I do not recommend buying them since they're not monitored by the FDA, but since I've already bought them, I shall review them for you guys. To be entirely safe, do not consume the product and be careful when eating.
LimeCrime Velvetines liquid-to-matte Lip Stain.
Lip stains from SissyShoppe.
Lip stains from Wholesaler.
Description:
LimeCrime Velvetines
Liquid-to-matte lip stain
2.6ml
How to wear: Apply directly to clean lips. Refine shape with a lip brush if desired. No lip liner needed! Remove with waterproof makeup remover or oil.

I like the packaging. It's a simple translucent plastic case with a twistable cap. The applicator is similar to the typical lip gloss.

The shade name is printed below.
I did not get all shades since I'm tight on budget. The shades I got are:
   >Wicked (deep red)
   >Red (reddest red)
   >Salem (dark brown)
   >Naked Velvet (light pink)
   >Bleached (peachy nude)
   >Riot (red brown)
   >Shroom (90's brown)
Riot's applicator.
Red's applicator
Bleached's applicator has a factory defect.
Note: I bought these from 2 different online shops. The shades Shroom, Riot, and Bleached are bought from a wholesaler. Salem, Wicked, Red Velvet and Naked Velvet are bought from SissyShoppe. The one I bought at SissyShoppe are slightly bigger. Both smells kinda like chocolate, but the one from the wholesaler smells more chocolate-like. All of them are quite the same. The packaging is the only difference I can spot. Although SissyShoppe's LimeCrime feels slightly thicker, yet still easily blendable.
Swatches.
Also, I did not individually swatched it on my lip as it is VERY tricky to remove. Also, what you see is what you get.
I tried to wash the swatches I did.
Washed with soap and water.
After few minutes of trying to remove it.
On the 2nd photo, I used baby oil to remove it, and wiped it off with some tissue. What happened is it smudged. I did not document this since it looks like a complete mess. I tried to wash it off again. After a few minutes, this is what it looks like. The cleanest that I can get. It looks like someone beat my arm.

Anyway, here are my favorite shades that I did swatch.

Bleached
Salem.
Shroom.
I used the shade Shroom to test how long it will last on my lips.
The consistency is creamy. It glides smoothly on a well-prepped lip. It's quite sticky when I press my lips together. This lip stain is very matte, trust me. But when lips are pressed together (with the product on my lips), they somehow create a sticky feeling.
Take note: I did not apply lip balm, concealer or any lip primer on my lips. I also blotted a little since the shade is too overpowering as of the moment, also, the more product present the stickier it will be.

3 hours later.
It is still there. It feels the same compared to when I applied it the first time. I also ate during the said hours. Although I do notice a few spaces that does not have any of the product. I think the stickiness of the product caused this.
8 hours later.
8 hours later, the product has slightly faded, but still present. I love that it really stayed on my lips for a long time, despite being slightly sticky. Considering its lasting power, I witnessed it not bleeding as well.

Removing it is really a painful job. I used a tissue soaked in baby oil.
I tested it while wearing Salem.

After rubbing many times.
A part of the tissue.

Some residue left.
After washing it off many times, there are still some residue left. By that time, I used a damp/wet towel to remove it.
Finally, my lips are clean.

Since I really like the colors, I decided to wear it for another day and apply a loose powder on top to cancel out the stickiness (like mattifying your face) and I was quite impressed with how good the idea was.
After applying the product thinly on my lips, I used a makeup sponge with loose powder and patted it on my lips thinly and evenly. I dusted off some of the excess product. Lastly, I tapped my lips with a damp towel.

Done! After that, the lip product lasted long on my lips. Even if I ate or splashed water on my lips, the liquid lipstick really sticks on my lips.

I would rate this product 6.5/10. I really adore this, as witnessed above. I just wish that it is less sticky.
The LimeCrime Velvetine I bought is available at SissyShoppe link here
and from the wholesaler at this fb group link here

They retail at 150 each (90 pesos for wholesale, still depends.)
80 pesos for the wholesaler (6 pieces minimum.)
Tip: Buy with your friends! The more the merrier!
