January is one of the months that we experience cold and breezy weather. The Philippines does not, (and might never) experience winter, but there's no doubt that we experienced a chill temperature throughout the month.
I love cold weathers, but I don't think that our skin will appreciate the cold breeze. So, do not be shocked if moisturizing products will be mentioned more often in this blogpost.
For this month's 'Monthly Faves' I will share my top picks of products that I've used throughout the month.
Note: The article is constructed and finalized a day before it was posted.

| Etude House CC Cream |
1. Etude House CC Cream (Silky)
I am always in a hurry every morning, so I always need a multi-purpose cream to take care of all my needs. This cc cream will act as a moisturizer and sunscreen, so all I have to do is set it with a powder then my face is done. It's very easy to blend, and lightweight. And I actually prefer this over BB creams since it has more benefits to the skin.
This product also gives me a natural dewy look when I applied a few powder. It does not make me look too pale as well. Korean cc creams are truly the best.

New year, new hair. This is not my first time to color my hair, but since my hair grew longer, the darker areas of my hair are exposed. I wanted to try this brand since it's cheap and appears promising. I used the product few days before January, but I enjoyed its effect during January.
My hair looks naturally brown. I was slightly disappointed because I did not truly see its effect, but then the next day, it made me appear naturally brunette. Also, the conditioner it contains made my hair silky smooth. The product is comparable to Revlon Colorstay.
Note: The first permanent hair color I used is Revlon Colorstay.
This is what my hair looks like in natural lighting. My hair is slightly stubborn when it comes to hair color, and that's why my hair does not look too brownish.
During December 2015, I was constantly using nail polish. I gave it a rest during January and constantly used this. It is labeled as a hand lotion, but can also help nourish the nails. I love how it makes my hand soft and smooth. You won't feel the sticky sensation some lotions have, and yet you can feel the lotion on your hand.
Just because it's labeled as hand lotion, doesn't mean you can't use it on your arm or legs. If I have extra product on my palm, I will rub the excess on my arm and elbow area. It will help soften the skin on those areas.

| LimeCrime Velvetines in Shroom and Bleached |
4. LimeCrime Velvetines (Shroom and Bleached)
I don't like the finish it gives me, but I've figured out a way to cancel out the stickiness. All I have to do is pat some loose powder on top then spray some liquid. The product will last all day, especially if you did not eat anything oily. I also like that it does not dry out my lips like other lipsticks.
Besides the lasting power, I admire its color. Shroom can be used to tone down a wild color since it has a brown shade. Bleached can be used to lighten a dark lip shade and make it look more wearable. They are versatile, which made me use them continually.

I like to use this toner since it has the basic component a toner needs. Despite being Alcohol-free, it cleanses my skin and removes extra dirt. It does not dry out my skin as well. As a matter of fact, it hydrates my skin after using a cleanser.
It does not contain any fragrance, and harmful ingredients. It feels like water on the skin, yet it cleanses excess dirt, even on the neck. Use a cotton ball to effectively utilize the product.
I always have this in my makeup bag, the reason for that is because I always do some touch-ups in the middle of the day. It also comes with a mirror, so it's very handy. This pressed powder is slightly cheap. For 250 pesos, you'll get a 12g product with a mirror and soft sponge. The packaging also has a compartment to it.
I have used this for numerous times already. I have removed the words on the packaging already, but I still have a lot of products left. The shade fits me just fine. It contains SPF, but I doubt its potency. Nevertheless, this is a great product and I will certainly repurchase.
This is my go-to lip. Not only is it easy to apply, but it's also very wearable and moisturizing. You can blot once to make it look semi-matte. I find myself wearing this lipstick every week, especially if I'm in a hurry. It doesn't even feel like a lipstick, I thought it was a lip balm but the saleslady corrected me.
I think the best part about this is it has a great pigment yet moisturizing enough even when blotted. The shade that I have is Tutti Frutti and it has an orange tone to it. If you love coral and orange tones, you might like this.
