MONTHLY FAVORITES: February, 2016

February 29! Yep, it’s a leap year, so we get to experience another day for February. For this month’s favorites, I shall feature products which I constantly use without having second thoughts.

My skin care and makeup routine became plain, yet constant. I did not really apply a lot of special things since I’ve been busy lately and preoccupied. Plus, I’ve just recovered from acne breakouts, and my nose area may have some broken capillaries, so applying special facial masks might not help (for my skin tone).

Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer
1. Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer
I love moisturizers which does not leave an oily finish. This moisturizer is water-based, oil free, dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic, and fragrance-free (or so it claims). But I love it since I’ve been using it for more than months and it really hydrates the skin without that heavy moisturized feeling on my face.

Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil
2. Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil
I’m always in a hurry, yet this pencil answered my needs before I leave the house at 6am. It’s a retractable angled brow pencil. It’s the easiest to use, and it provides a more precise look compared to my EB eyebrow pencil or IN-2-IT eyebrow powder. I’m always using this, especially this month, whether with or without eyebrow gel.

Rucy's Vanity BB Cream
3. Rucy’s Vanity BB cream
It is obvious how addicted I am with using BB Creams. This BB cream suits me: the color suits my skin tone, it gives me some coverage, and it contains SPF 20. It also smells good, which made me use it more. The finish, however, is somewhat dewy, so finishing with a powder is a must. I am definitely going to repurchase it.

Girl Stuff Nail Polish
4. Girl Stuff Nail Polish
I’ve recently been obsessed in applying nail polish since I kept my nails long throughout the month. Believe it or not, I always keep my nails short, but this month, I kept it long and used this nail polish to make my nails look pretty. The shade is “Grace” and it’s the best shade for me; neutral with a kick of pink shade. I also love how it dries smoothly even if you don’t apply it perfectly.

Rucy's Vanity One Hole Eyeshadow
5. Rucy’s Vanity One Hole Eyeshadow
This eyeshadow is a multi-purpose shadow which can be used as an eyeshadow and bronzer. Since my face is not perfectly chiselled, I apply this product below my cheek area where the contouring is usually applied. This is enough to make my face look more defined than usual. Since my skin tone is light, this shade will suit me just fine, and I love how it really stays on my skin.
