Foundations in a form of a stick have a tendency to be too thick and creamy. Some may even crease after a long day. But since I’m desperate to hunt for a good concealer, I decided to purchase this once I found a perfect match for my skin tone.
Fashion 21 Perfect Stick is a foundation and or concealer with UV protection. I was amazed, but then I remembered that SPF ingredients sometimes give that white cast from flash photography. So using this foundation at a photo-shoot may not be advised. (And this product claims to have SPF 50+)
Fashion 21 has another line of the perfect stick foundation that contains Tea Tree. It’s in a similar package, but it is color green. I was supposed to get it, but it has a pinkish undertone, and I have a yellow undertone. The foundation would make me look ashy. Luckily, the normal Fashion 21 Perfect Stick has a slight yellowish undertone, perfect one for my skin tone.
I was amazed at this product when I swatched it; I still have yet to test it out whether it will last long or not.
Description:
Fashion 21 Perfect Stick
· Foundation
· Concealer
· White UV Protection
· With SPF 50+
Directions of Use: Best applied with a soft flat sponge or with your fingers. Apply in even strokes working towards the hairline and jawline.
The product is in a silver plastic. It works like a lipstick’s packaging: twist it to dispense the product and apply directly on the skin. It has a scent, but it’s very light and not bothering.

I applied it directly on my arm. It glides on smoothly. I tried to blend it with a makeup sponge but it didn’t do much work, even if it’s damp. I decided to blend it with a flat foundation brush. It worked better. The product is looks great on my skin tone.
The product on my arm lasted for hours. But of course, I need to test it on my face.

I applied it directly on my skin, and then used a flat foundation brush (Sigma F60) to blend the product. Since there are visible streaks, I used a round kabuki brush (Sigma F82) to buff away the streaks. This shall give me a flawless finish.
Even after blending it, I can still smell the foundation, but milder. It does not have a pungent scent anyway, so I'm fine with it. It's not really heavy, you can only feel that there's a foundation on your skin.

Since I have an oily t-zone area, I set it with a loose powder. And since I ran out of loose powder, I decided to use the Johnson’s Baby Powder instead. Trust me when I say that this is a dupe for a translucent powder. It will slightly make you look paler, though.
Note: I didn’t bake the loose powder.

5 hours later, my cheek area looks the same. The bronzer is still present. I went out, so I slightly perspired, and my nose area is quite oily. I also noticed that my under eye slightly creased, and it’s quite noticeable from a certain distance. This can easily be removed, just swipe it away then pat some powder over it to retouch.
From here, I did not blot or retouch. I continued with doing my regular shenanigans.

10 hours later, the foundation slightly faded, but I can still see the coverage. The bronzer has faded, but I did not experience any more creasing.
Overall, I like using this foundation in the long run. For a long day at school, I would use this. I suggest to blot and retouch some powder at the middle of the day. I also doubt that the SPF in this product is potent enough, but the extra ingredient could help prolong your stay under the sun (I'm not promising it, though.)
Note: I realized that using your finger to blend is effective.
I would rate this 6/10.
It's very affordable, has good coverage, contains a reasonable amount of product, and very easy to blend, but I wish they didn't put any SPF ingredient to prevent white casts during a flash photography.
The Fashion 21 Perfect Stick is available at Fashion 21 outlets at SM and Robinsons department stores nationwide.
