This month's heat is slowly killing me. Right after shower, I can instantly feel the water and sweat dripping. Even the water is hot. Despite all that negativity, I still found joy for this month's favorites.

Nivea UV Whitening Serum
Just like the name implies, this 'serum' which I use as a lotion keeps my skin hydrated, whitens it and protects it from the UV rays. I do not spend too much time under the sun, but this is still essential; it's not greasy, nor sticky. I use this every day, even if I stayed indoor since my window at home is not the high tech kind wherein UV rays are filtered. I have a more detailed review of this. Note: This product did not whiten my skin at all, but I think it helped maintain it.

Clinique Moisture Surge
I am not fond of using high-end products, but I love this. I got this from my aunt. I love using this because it keeps my skin hydrated without making it sticky, greasy, or moist. The consistency is not watery and it is not oil-based, which surprised me because its non-watery consistency is usually moist on the skin. More points, because this product is easily absorbed by the skin, unlike some products I'm trying out.

Pond's Pure White Facial Foam
I replaced my Pond's Clear Facial Scrub with this. The reason for that is because this does not contain any 'beads' and can double as a purifying mask. It also contains carbon which helps in cleansing my skin. When it comes to basic facial care, Pond's is always my go-to facial wash. It's inexpensive yet very functional.

DetClear Bright and Peel
This product came from Japan. I asked my friend to buy it for me because of the current trend of peeling gels. Cure is the most famous brand, yet I find it slightly expensive. This is an alternative cheaper brand. It really helps in peeling away dead skin cell. Not only that, but this helped lessen my breakouts or control my acne problem. It clears out the oiliness for a while as well. I noticed that this lessens oil production, so it can be part of the morning regimen.

Human Nature Tinted Lipbalm
I bought this initially because I lost my Maybelline Baby Lips (tinted lip balm) and they almost have the same price. This tinted balm is very moisturizing. It also has a minty flavor, which is good for this weather. It gave me a pretty reddish orange tint, plus it does not give me a sticky feeling on the lips. What's best about this product is it's locally made, but not available in random drugstores. Click here to find the nearest Human Nature's branch.
Note: They have a new packaging for this product, and it's awesome!

Eskinol Pimple Fighting Toner
I know this goes against my "No alcohol rule", but I have to give it credit in helping reduce pimple production on my face. It also helps in clearing my acne, but that's it. I don't like to use it all over my face because it stings. Also, this astringent is good for makeup brush spot cleaning. And yes, I put the product inside a spray bottle and add water to it. I spray it to the bristles and swirl it around a clean towel. It disinfects and instantly cleans it. Just be mindful that this will slowly dry out the brush bristles. Use with caution.
(Yet I still wonder why most brush cleansers contain huge amounts of alcohol.)
And that is it for this month's favorites. Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for more blogposts!
